FAQ
Our atelier is located in Lima, Peru. We still work with many brides who visit us from all over the country, including those from abroad, both in person and remotely. We're prepared to welcome brides from all over the world, work remotely, and optimize travel to ensure every bride's experience is incredible.
Any reference images you feel might be useful in creating your dress will be very helpful. These could be photos of your wedding decor, flowers, lace, as well as any special jewelry or accessories you'd like to wear that day. Photos of places that are special to you and your partner, details of your story that we can't miss, but above all, enthusiasm and an open mind so we can create something unique together.
If you're wearing a veil that was given to you or want to incorporate a piece of a dress that belonged to someone important to you, you should also bring that to your first appointment.
Of course! At the Atelier, we create a complete experience. If you'd like, we can design everything from the shoes, headpiece, and jewelry you'll wear on the day. We can also help with your makeup and hair, as well as your flowers, photos, and other vendors, as we have the broadest portfolio of top professionals.
Angie Schlegel typically accompanies you on your wedding day to help you dress, as long as your first appointment is scheduled at least six months in advance and is based on the designer's availability and wedding calendar. This service is free of charge as long as the wedding takes place in the surrounding area of the Atelier (for weddings in Pachacamac, Cieneguilla, South and North Lima, each case will be evaluated based on availability and the wedding calendar).
It begins with a first appointment, where, through a pleasant and extensive conversation to get to know you, Angie sketches out ideas that translate from this conversation, where even the smallest detail can make your dress unique and magical. The idea is to inspire and create through your experiences, your personality, and your story to truly capture your identity in the dress of your dreams.
At this appointment, also in our Atelier Laboratory, we look at fabrics, lace, details, and embroidery to understand what you like and to give you a much clearer idea of all the possibilities available when creating your dress.
Once the budget is defined, we begin to create your schedule and define your fitting schedule. Together, we'll discover what you like best, what works and what doesn't, what changes we need to make, and what successes we should pursue. This way, throughout this wonderful creative process, we'll create this unique dress that you'll make yourself, and that's magical.
As your wedding day approaches, we'll schedule your final fitting. Ideally, you can coordinate with your hair and makeup team to have your fitting done before the wedding. We'll also try on the dress, so you can see how you'll look on that special day. This day is magical and full of excitement.
Once your dress is finished, you can pick it up from the Atelier, or we can also take it to the hotel or place where you'll change on your wedding day (Lima metropolitan area).
This entire process is a unique experience that will make the creation of your dress a memorable moment that you will always remember with great excitement.
Whenever you're going to undergo any diet, specific exercise, surgery, or special training that could alter the initial measurements, you must notify us in advance so we can support you throughout this process with periodic measurements and a metabolic calendar. We'll identify the best time to start working on your dress or make any necessary adjustments.
